New CD Debut: Heaven Was Needing a Hero
The CD “Heaven was Needing a Hero” was recorded by Sarah Fedder in Nashville in June 2010 and is due to be released on July 13th with all proceeds donated to Indiana COPS. Sarah will debut the CD live with Vyagra Falls July 17th in South Bend at Simeri’s. The CD sells for $10.00. When accounting for $1.00 in production fee’s, the other $9.00 is donated directly to Indiana COPS.
.Indiana COPS is a non for profit organization that relies on fundraising to assist families and offices affected by the death of an officer.
In 1997 Indiana began a Chapter of “Concerns of Police Survivors” which is a peer support network for survivors of a line of duty death. The Indiana C.O.P.S’ primary goal is to be there for them on a day-to-day basis assisting them with their loss. They also
provide several other resources such as providing training to law enforcement agencies, education to the public, professional assistance to survivors coping with their loss, and resources that assist survivors rebuild their shattered lives.
Each year approximately 160 Police Officers are killed in the line of duty within the United States. Indiana has lost over 380 Police Officers in the line of duty and their sacrifices shall never be forgotten.
